‘My Whole Life Is a Bet.’ Inside President Trump’s Gamble on an Untested Re-Election Strategy

https://time.com/longform/donald-trump-2020/

Once again, Trump is putting his own instincts at the center of his campaign. The political mercenaries who tried to discipline his impulses in 2016 have been shown the door. The 2020 campaign is unmistakably Trump’s show. “We all have our meetings,” the President says. “But I generally do my own thing.” Campaign staff have been hired to follow Trump’s lead, and the President has made it known that when he tweets a new policy or improvises an attack at a rally, everyone had better be ready to follow along. “He blows the hole and everyone runs into the breach,” says an aide.

Torah thought on the sin of the Sabbath-breaker in שלח לך

    See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/23486
“My Theory; Similarity of Sin of Baal-Peor and Sin of Golden Calf Balaam counselled the women of Moab and Midian to invite Jews to a sacrificial festival to cause the ruin of these Jews. “Yet they are the very ones who, at the bidding of Balaam, induced the Israelites to trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor למסר מעל בה' על דבר פעור, so that the Lord’s community was struck by the plague.” (Numbers 31:16)”
A rabbinic view is that the Sabbath-breaker is Zelophehad. My theory is that Zelophehad had a concubine.
Concubine = concubine definition: a woman who, in some societies, lives and has sex with a man she is not married to, and has a lower social rank than his wife or wives.
“Once his concubine deserted [lit. played the harlot] him, leaving him for her father’s house in Bethlehem in Judah; and she stayed there a full four months. Then her husband set out, with an attendant and a pair of donkeys, and went after her to woo her and to win her back. She admitted him into her father’s house; and when the girl’s father saw him, he received him warmly.” (Judges 19:2-3).
    Concubine in Genesis:
“Bethuel being the father of Rebekah. These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother. And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, also bore children: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.” (Genesis 22:23-24).
“but to Abraham’s sons by concubines Abraham gave gifts while he was still living, and he sent them away from his son Isaac eastward, to the land of the East.” (Genesis 25:26)
My theory is that Zelophehad set out to woo his concubine who left him (for unknown reasons). This is why he needed the wood. The concubine asked for it, on advice of Balaam who was around.

“Our Rabbis taught: The gatherer was Zelophehad. And thus it is said, “Once, when the Israelites were in the wilderness, they came upon a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.” (Numbers 15:32). Elsewhere it is said, “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not one of the faction, Korah’s faction, which banded together against the Lord, but died for his own sin; and he has left no sons. Let not our father’s name be lost to his clan just because he had no son! Give us a holding among our father’s kinsmen! Moses brought their case before the Lord. And the Lord said to Moses, The plea of Zelophehad’s daughters is just: you should give them a hereditary holding among their father’s kinsmen; transfer their father’s share to them.” (Numbers 27:3-6) our father died in the wilderness; just as there Zelophehad [is meant], so here too Zelophehad [is meant]: this is R. Akiba's view.”

ויהיו בני ישראל במדבר וימצאו - בגנותן של ישראל דבר הכתוב, שלא שמרו אלא שבת ראשונה, ובשניה בא זה וחללה
According to Rashi. “So the people rested on the seventh day.” (Exodus 16:30). Why? Because on the sixth day the people gathered double: “On the sixth day they gathered double the amount of food לקטו לחם משנה, two omers for each; and when all the chieftains of the community came and told Moses” (Exodus 16:22). The very next Sabbath, Zelophehad was the Sabbath-breaker. This is why Rashi says שלא שמרו אלא שבת ראשונה that they kept only the first Sabbath. Keeping 2 Sabbaths will bring the Messiah, yes?

  2. Trump will likely win again because the Left will use the same strategy as last time. Instead of presenting a vision for the US which balances financial prosperity and opportunity with social cohesion, they will present a campaign based on attacking non-SJW's as deplorable, sneering at anyone who doesn't think they're possessed of superior intellect and a general self-righteous feeling that they can't possibly lose the election to the lower lifeforms on the Right.
