The father of a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre has won a defamation lawsuit against the authors of a book that claimed the shooting never happened — the latest victory for victims’ relatives who have been taking a more aggressive stance against conspiracy theorists.
The book, “Nobody Died at Sandy Hook,” has also been pulled from shelves to settle claims against its publisher filed by Lenny Pozner, whose 6-year-old son Noah was killed in the shooting.

Bravo. Heart-warming story. There’s hope down in America. Mordecai Kadar warns that Jewish successes brings anti-Semitism. See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/24027
“Twentieth century history teaches that the more Jews were integrated into the society in which they lived, the greater the threat they were perceived to pose to that society, therefore the greater the hatred they inspire. In pre-WWII Weimar Germany, Austria and Holland, Jews were on the highest socio-economic level, causing the Jew-hatred in those countries to be worse than that of Eastern European countries. Until recently, most American Jews felt that the US is intrinsically different than Europe, that "it can't happen here." That feeling has begun to erode. Israel must prepare itself to absorb massive aliya from the USA. This aliya will be the result of American Jewry reaching the conclusion that just as Europe, the USA has ceased to be a secure haven for Jews. Canada is not much better. And what is happening in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, let alone Venezuela, will encourage many of the Jews in those countries to leave them and move to Israel.”
I say that we have to prepare for massive conversions to Judaism.

“Moses led the people out of the camp toward God, and they took their places at the foot of the mountain.” (Exodus 19:17 ) And they stood under the mount:. R. Abdimi b. Hama b. Hasa said: This teaches that the Holy One, blessed be He, overturned the mountain upon them like an [inverted] cask, and said to them, If ye accept the Torah, tis well; if not, there shall be your burial. R. Aha b. Jacob observed: This furnishes a strong protest against the Torah [It provides an excuse for non-observance, since it was forcibly imposed in the first place]. Said Raba, Yet even so, they re-accepted it in the days of Ahasuerus, for it is written, “the Jews undertook and irrevocably obligated themselves and their descendants, and all who might join them, to observe these two days in the manner prescribed and at the proper time each year.” (Esther 9:27). [the Jews] confirmed, and took upon them [etc.]: [i.e.,] they confirmed what they had accepted long before.”

  2. I have a new theory of the sin of the spies in parsha שלח לך.
The wicked spies were good kosher/worthy leaders at the time Moses appointed them. My theory: their wives reacted all together to get their husbands, the tribal leaders, to be decision makers, and not to just report on what they see. The wives persuaded their husbands that it is not fitting for their honor and for the family/tribe’s honor to just report on what they, but they must form their own independent opinion on the idea of going to Israel. My theory is that the wives were against their husbands going to Israel. I got this idea from my SCOTUS 18-9390, how my first wife, didn’t want to make Aliyah. She once threatened me to tell CUNY not to sign on June 11, 1991---that I was a crazy person. I told Ian Anderson. He told me not to worry. My theory is that the wives convinced their husbands to be decision makers and that Aliyah would be bad them. The husbands had previously divorced all sisters, sisters-in-law, aunts---all that Moses forced them to divorce. Remained Egyptian women that converted whom the men married. Moses welcomed all converts and gave them 100% rights. Big mistake. Moses hoped that the converts would be good. Alas, they were bad.
Some thoughts, some discussion, DT? Joe Orlow, KA, Berel, IR ?
