Kahane Won

Tabletmag

In the past month or so, the Jewish world has been stunned by an internal Israeli political decision that arguably has ramifications far beyond the Israeli electorate. On Feb. 20, 2019, the rightist Jewish Home Party (Ha-Bayit ha-Yehudi) announced it was merging forces with the far-right Jewish Power Party (Otzma Yehudit), enabling certain members of Otzma Yedudit to be elected to the Knesset. This is so troubling because some of Otzma Yehudit’s list includes individuals with strong affiliations to the radical militant Meir Kahane (1932-1990). Kahane was elected to the Knesset in 1984 under his Kach Party, then removed from the Knesset in 1987 under a “racism law,” aimed at both his racism and his anti-democratic statements. While his radical and militant followers remain a part of Israeli society, it has long been thought they occupy a small and marginal fringe with no political power. With the prospect of Kahanists once again being part of the Israeli government, this assumption is now being questioned, and the figure of Kahane has once again become a focus of interest and inquiry.

  1. Day that Rabbi Ahiad Ettinger dies, הי"ד, Daattorah has horrible posting.
I’m stunned by the horrible decision of Daattorah to publish this garbage: “This is so troubling because some of Otzma Yehudit’s list includes individuals with strong affiliations to the radical militant Meir Kahane (1932-1990).”
No. We have a case of the urgent need to reject the judges of the Supreme Court of Israel.
    Sanhedrin 23a:
“Mishnah. [1] Civil actions [are to be tried] by three. Each [litigant] chooses one, and the two jointly choose a third. So holds R. Meir. But the Sages rule [this view is accepted]: the two judges nominate the third. [2] Each party may object to the judge chosen by the other, so holds R. Meir. but the Sages say [this view is accepted]: when is this so? Only if the objector adduces proof that they are either kinsmen or [otherwise] ineligible שהן קרובים או פסולים; but if fit or recognized by the Beth Din as mumhin מומחין, they cannot be disqualified. [3] Each party may reject the witnesses produced by the other. So holds R. Meir. but the Sages say [this view is accepted], when is this so? Only when proof is brought that they are either kinsmen or [otherwise] ineligible; but if they are [legally] eligible, no one can disqualify them אבל אם היו כשרים אינו יכול לפוסלן.
I’ve been losing in my case versus Susan in NYS courts ever since 1991. Now I have a chance because my focus is evidence I show the NYS Court of Appeals and SCOTUS that Judge Prus, recently elected, must be disqualified. Israel, too, can try to produce evidence that the juges of the Israel Supreme Court must be disqualified. See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/260515
“"Despite the importance of the Supreme Court's decision and the fact that it affects the constitutional right to vote and be elected, we have no right to appeal it. Therefore, we must see the Knesset as a body which can be appealed to, and which has the ability to cancel the court's distorted decision."”

  2. One hundred and twenty years after declaring it Judaism’s ‘Enemy No. 1,’ ultra-Orthodoxy has effectively surrendered to the Zionist idea.

Menachem Begin, was as simple as it was sincere: unlimited draft deferments, generous budgets and senior government positions in return for a long-term alliance between ultra-Orthodoxy and the right.. !שטנא נצח

The Israeli government declared both Kach and Kahane Chai illegal terror organizations in 1994, following the February 1994 massacre at the Tomb of the Patriarchs by a Kach supporter, Dr. Baruch Goldstein, which killed 29 Muslim worshippers. That same year, Kach was also placed on the U.S. State Department and European Union lists of outlawed terror groups.

  5. Long article. Steeped in history. But It's really quite simple.

I'm a Jew. G-d gave my nation the Land of Israel. It's our land . And not the Arabs' land.

Maybe they realized that their position was the same as that of Reform, and that whilst European Orthodoxy was more or less wiped out, it has resurged in Israel. Hence, Enemy No.1 was galus and assimilation.

  7. I printed out and read closely
    https://www.jpost.com/Jerusalem-Report/The-new-Zionists-436827
“Last year, a record 2,400 ultra-Orthodox men enlisted out of 8,000 called, and the numbers keep rising. Meanwhile, the Israel Police last year trained and hired 15 ultra- Orthodox criminal investigators. This is besides the hundreds who are doing National Service at first aid stations, old age homes, hospitals and charities. Most symbolically, following a Supreme Court ruling that deputy ministers cannot function as de facto ministers, ultra- Orthodoxy’s Council of Sages approved its senior politician, Yaakov Litzman’s acceptance of a full cabinet membership as Health Minister. The rabbis’ longstanding refusal to let their representative swear allegiance to the Zionist government and to become responsible for its deeds – was thus abandoned, reflecting the steady retreat from the historic formula of maximum authority and minimum responsibility.”
Terrible to say “the historic formula of maximum authority and minimum responsibility.”
    Pesachim 118a:
    R. Shesheth also said on the authority of R. Eleazar b. Azariah: Whoever relates slander, and whoever accepts slander, and whoever gives false testimony against his neighbor, deserve to be cast to dogs, for it is said, You shall be holy people to Me: you must not eat flesh torn by beasts in the field; you shall cast it to the dogs.” (Exodus 22:30) which is followed by “You must not carry תשא false rumors; you shall not join hands with the guilty רשע to act as a malicious witness” (Exodus 23:1)”

At some time in the late 1950s, Kahane assumed the persona of a Gentile individual, along with the pseudonym Michael King. !

  12. Michael king-kahane the gentile rabbi!

Kahane was convicted of violating his probation for the 1971 bombing conviction and was sentenced to one year in prison. However, he served most of it in a hotel, with frequent unsupervised absences, because of a concession over the provision of kosher food.!

  23. The days of the Messiah will be the time when the kingdom will return to

Israel who will return to the Holy Land. The king who will then reign

will have Zion as the capital of his realm
. His name will be great and

fill the earth to its uttermost bounds. It will be a greater name than

that of king Solomon and mightier. The nations will make peace with him,

and lands will obey him by reason of his great rectitude and the

wonders that will come to light by his means. Any one that rises up

against him God will destroy and make him fall into his hand. All verses

of scripture testify to his prosperity and our prosperity in him. So

far as existing things are concerned there will be no difference

whatever between now and then, except that Israel will possess the

kingdom. And this is the sense of the Rabbis' statement, אין בין העולם

הזה לימות המשיח אלא שעבוד מלכיות בלבד “There is no difference between

this world and the Days of the Messiah except the subjugation of the

kingdoms alone” (Berakhot 34b and Shabbat 63a). In his days there will

be both the strong and the weak in their relations to others. But verily

in those days the gaining of their livelihood will be so very easy to

men that they will do the lightest possible labour and reap great

benefit. It is this that is meant by the remark of the Rabbis, עתידה ארץ

ישראל להוציא גלוסקאות וכלי מילת “The land of Israel will one day

produce cakes ready baked, and garments of fine silk” (Shabbat 30b)
    . For

when one finds a thing easily and without labour, people are in the

habit of saying, “So and So found bread ready baked, and a meal ready

    cooked.”

"If, 0 reader, you belong to one of the first-named classes, do not pay

any attention to any of my remarks on this subject, because not a word

of it will suit you. On the contrary, it will harm you and you will

    dislike it.
For how can food of light weight and temperate character

suit a person accustomed to partaking of bad and gross fare? It would

really injure him, and he would loathe it. Do you not see what was said

concerning the manna by those who had grown accustomed to eating onions

and garlic, and fish? ונפשנו קצה בלחם הקלוקל “and our soul loatheth this

light bread” (Numbers 21:5). If, however, you are of those who

constitute the third class, and when you come across any of the Sages'

remarks which reason rejects, you pause and learn that it is a dark

saying and an allegory. And if you then pass the night wrapped up in

thought and dwelling in anxious reflection over its interpretation,

mentally striving to find the truth and the correct point of view, as it

is said, למצוא דברי חפץ וכתוב יושר דברי אמת “To find out acceptable

words, and the writing of uprightness, even words of truth”

(Ecclesiastes 12:10), you will then consider this discourse of mine, and

it will profit you, if God wills it.
    "

    Chazal already predicted this

    עתידה ארץ

ישראל להוציא גלוסקאות וכלי מילת “The land of Israel will one day

produce cakes ready baked, and garments of fine silk” (Shabbat 30b)

Now Israel produces these cakes, which have hechsheirim, Hence anyone who says anything bad about about Eretz Yisroel, or the medina, is an apikores!

The Rambam is advising his followers not to debate with hareidi /ultra orthodox minded folk. They even called the Rambam a heretic, and daubed his grave.
