In what sense at all are we in any way in the same category as any other religion?
Jews are foremost a people, a nation, Klal Yisroel, Bnei Yisroel. Are Christians or Buddhists or Muslims a single shared nationality and peoplehood? Does an Egyptian Christian feel a brotherhood with an Argentinian Christian, and will shmooze with him for hours like a long lost brother and put him up for a week in his home even though he never met him before? Is someone whose maternal (or even paternal for that matter) lineage from hundreds of years ago Christian or Buddhist automatically and forever a Christian or Buddhist today, even though for hundreds of years they've practiced no religion or atheism or another religion?
Is religion good or bad? Yes!

While you are correct that there are differences, it is not clear to me why those differences are significant in the context of this TED talk.
