Used to have some truly wonderful American Gur Chassidim friends that I met in Israel. Wonderful family. They adapted me, had me over for Shabbat meals, took care of me when I was sick. Truly Baal Chassidim. This was 35 years ago. After living in Israel for several years, they became more and more stringent. So I guess this is the outcome of being overly stringent.
