Refuah Sheleimah! The Jewish Community needs people like you who see the truth about the danger to this country - and to Israel. It was mildly disturbing that Trump thought of the Western Wall as part of the West Wall; i it is West of the Jordan. His blabbering about Israeli-sourced intelligence to Russia was disastrous.

  4. I wish Rabbi Eidenson Shlit'a a refua shelaima b'mehaira.

I regret having challenged Rabbi Eidenson, on several occasions, in strict harsh attacking offensive sort of language. Just because a person has a blog and makes provocative discussion, does not mean that his feelings (and his blood) are hefker ch'v, to permit insulting language. We commentators are, for the most part, anonymous people and don't get offended, but the blog owner is a known person. Additionally, he is a talmid chacham, and offending him on the blog is probably a level of mevazeh talmid chacham r"l. Now in light of what happened, I have realized this and I deeply regret it and I have decided not to do so anymore. I ask mechila for this.

I also would like to make people conscious of this, and ask everyone to decide not to insult this blog owner, or any other.

  7. Baba Bathra 116a:
“R. Phinehas h. Hama gave the following exposition: Whosoever has a sick person in his house should go to a Sage [Lit., wise (man), a scholar and saint] who will invoke [Heavenly] mercy for him; as it is said (Proverbs 16:14): The wrath of a king [God's visitation] is as messengers of death, but a wise man will pacify it.”
    Proverbs 16:12-16:
“Wicked deeds are an abomination to kings, For the throne is established by righteousness. Truthful speech wins the favor of kings; They love those who speak honestly. The king’s wrath is a messenger of death, But a wise man can appease it. The king’s smile means life; His favor is like a rain cloud in spring.”
The Malbim says on “The king’s wrath is a messenger of death, But a wise man can appease it”
The Malbim gives 2 examples: Pinchas in “Phinehas, son of Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the Israelites by displaying among them his passion for Me, so that I did not wipe out the Israelite people in My passion” (Numbers 25:11) and Moses in “He would have destroyed them had not Moses His chosen one confronted Him in the breach to avert His destructive wrath” (Psalms 106:23).
We pray for a full and speedy recovery to Rabbi David Eidensohn, Daniel Reuven son of Ester.

Your fearless love of truth is sorely missed and IMHO should be missed by all, regardless of the reality that thinking people will not always agree in every instance on what constitutes such aforementioned truth.
