It is truly touching that this assembly is concerned with Jews going off the derech. But at the same time it is truly tragic that the hypocrisy of R Shmuel Kaminetsky's promotion of adultery is ignored. After all he only engineered the heter - it is R Greenblatt's fault for giving it. He has stated he has no responsibility to stop this adultery - even though it is clear to all that if he has the ability to stop it. It is truly tragic that this assembly doesn't see a relationship between Jews going off the derech and the blatant hypocrisy of their leaders who know - but do and say nothing.

What is untruthful about what he said? True, I wouldn't want to eat Kosher meat cooked in a pot that was being used for Traif (without being Kashered in the interim). But the meat did start out Kosher.

ReplyDeleteI live in Bnei Brak. Rabbi Kamenitsky is pained about America Jews. I don’t see in Israel, Yidden going lost---the opposite, I see increasing learning and mitzvot. I quote Hosea, the prophet of Northern Israel, who was so pained at Jews going lost in Samaria while Jews in Judah were righteous:
“Samaria must bear her guilt, For she has defied her God. must bear her guilt, For she has defied her God. They shall fall by the sword, Their infants shall be dashed to death, And their women with child ripped open. Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, For you have fallen because of your sin. Take words with you And return to the Lord. Say to Him: Forgive all guilt And accept what is good; Instead of bulls we will pay [The offering of] our lips” (Hosea 14:1-3).

Please let me clarify, if I may. Although the Yeshiva promotes Torah (Kosher meat), but since the promoted substance they distribute, i.e. Kfiyas haGet and alleged Mekach Taus cooked up throughout and within the K's (the pot), makes everything treif. As the good book says, treif top, treif lefil.

How pathetic . It's what I call the Woodstock phenomenon .every year August 25 to see hundreds of motorcyclists converging on Bethel New York Woodstock farm trying to relive the glory of Woodstock back in 69 they were young now there walking around with long white beards long white here overweight but still trying to capture the joy of youth .

Today just one look at the pictures as hard as they try to obscure the poor attendance it seems that the ratio of dais to attendees is roughly 40/60. clearly having a marketing firm deciding the thing and every speech must be vetted by some politically correct apparatchiks in the aguda office , with only the politically correct rabbis invited to speak the entire idea of a convention has become so artificial that even those who want a weekend away from home don't find it very enticing to hear the same pablum spewed at them.
The only ones only who attend are those trying to relive the old glory.
