Dozens of former Republican national security officials have signed a letter on Monday saying a Donald Trump presidency would "put at risk our country's national security and well-being."
"None of us will vote for Donald Trump," the letter, which was published Monday by the New York Times, says. The authors then go on to characterize the billionaire as unfit for the Oval Office, saying he lacks the moral authority, judgement and foreign policy expertise.
"Unlike previous Presidents who had limited experience in foreign affairs, Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educating himself," the letter said. "He continues to display an alarming ignorance of basic facts of contemporary international politics."
The letter features the signatures of many former George W. Bush cabinet members and policy advisors, including former CIA and NSA director Michael Hayden, former intelligence chief John Negroponte and former Homeland Security secretary Tom Ridge. [...]
"A President must be disciplined, control emotions, and act only after reflection and careful deliberation," the letter said. "In our judgement, Mr. Trump has none of these critical qualities. He is unable or unwilling to separate truth from falsehood. He does not encourage conflicting views. He lacks self-control and acts impetuously."[...]
Awww. Poor things. They are going to be shut out of cabinet, National Security Council, etc positions in a possible Trump presidency. So they pout and write letters. Good for them!

ReplyDeletePlease explain on what basis you are questioning the motivations of all these public servants, as opposed to just taking what they say at face value: They view a Trump presidency as a grave threat.

I cannot believe how Clinton is still adrift,even with all these non-stop E-mail issues.Then you have the head of the DNC,Wasserman Shultz losing her powerful job because the DNC rooted for Clinton over Sanders.But who is to say that Clinton did not know of the DNC game herself??Clinton is already besmirched,and people want her for President.Wow!!

As far Bengazi, I don't believe, as you apparently do, that Hillary purposely had the ambassador and others killed to prevent them from revealing that she is a secret ISIS agent. I don't believe she handled it incompetently. She and the other State Department officials probably should have been more hesitant in talking about what led tot he attack until matters were more clear, but other than that, I don't think she did anything wrong (and by the way, neither did any of the many government investigations; but I know, those are all Rinos).
As far as the Clinton Foundation, again, it is not her best look, but I am far far more concerned about the dangers of a Trump presidency.
Thank goodness there are still people who are capable of sensible thinking who recognize this drivel for what it is. Hopefully there will be enough to stand with him on Election Day.

ReplyDeleteI have a close relative that really speaks the same way as Trump!!It is not pleasant to hear him speak out the pristine truth,and he loves to personally get involved in personal situations if he can..But yet he is warm toward everyone,as he has a smile and a comment for all,and people gravitate toward him.
So all Trump has to do is train himself to think before he talks.But is this really a reason to disqualify him at this point?Sure,I would have perferred someone else to run the Republican nomination,but he won it fair and square,and it is too late to go on about what should have been done.
I am extremely nervous how morally downward ihe country will become if Clinton gets elected.We do not need the American society going past more moral red lines.Clinton has not been faithful on the issues of th Emails at all.
I really believe Trump is going to make Clinton look not good in the upcoming debates,and that should help him.
One final observation is the discovery of what it takes to be a successful businessman.One can see how Trump came about it,and all I can say is wow-I would not want to be part of that type of world of mudslinging and the such!One would have to have incredible stamina to survive in Trump's world!
