Schlesinger Twins: Why does the court prefer a Filipino stranger as primary caretaker?

Guest post by Beth Alexander

It’s hard enough having my boys taken away from me again and again by their father after our visits, each time re-awakening the past, the torment of that fateful day which never fades with time.

Watching a Filipino stranger walk away carrying my crying child is a whole other level of pain.

Benjamin, just a moment earlier a little monkey in my arms, hands and legs clinging to me desperately, holding on with all the might of a 5 year old, now transferred to ‘the other woman’ in my ex husband’s life; a Filipino helper, while Sammy, a lost little boy ambles alongside, a faraway look in his big beautiful eyes.

Who is this woman who spends all day with my twins? Is she a legal resident of Vienna? What kind of contract does she have to look after my children? What exactly are her qualifications?

While my parenting skills were endlessly questioned and undermined, this woman – who has replaced me as main carer, hasn’t even been identified!

How can any court in the world believe that the children’s best interests are better served in the care of this woman (who can’t speak either German or English properly) rather than their mother?

My overnight visit ended at 10am this morning but the father was working today so he decided this stranger must substitute. I have my boys again tomorrow – my weekly Tuesday visit – and would have given anything to have them another day and night. I even asked for 9.00 – 5pm tomorrow instead of 11.00- 5pm since the children are still off kindergarten but of course the father refused. The Filipino also brings the children on Tuesday mornings.

Where’s the grandmother? the aunt? the sister? all the family support the father assured the judge he would have before he was awarded custody. Instead, Sammy and Benji are dumped off with hired help while I am bled financially to pay for it.

Yet the court refuses to see it, to hear it, to believe it because acknowledging this absurd reality would be an admission of guilt, wrongdoing and abuse.

The same can be said for the Jewish community of Vienna: Rav Biderman, Ariel Muzicant, Oskar Deutsch and Mr Pardess who remain silent because they would rather not confront the unpleasant realities on their doorstep. Far easier to slam the door on us and turn away.

  1. What is more important than the lives of people? In this case two little boys?

Why are Samny and Benji being denied their mother?
What point is the Court in Vienna trying to make? What point is the Jewish Community in Vienna trying to make?.

We have all seen what a wonderful capable mother Beth is to her children. If the Authorities are worried about Beth's capabilities, even though they have given her unsupervised visiting for three years, they should be giving her support, not making their lives an absolute misery!

Why was the father given supervised
visiting for eighteen months and the decision reversed overnight giving him immediate full custody. Certain relevant documents were suddenly and conveniently lost!

Sammy and Benji do not speak, although they are now 5!

Why is this? Is it the trauma of being deprived of their mother? Where is the
diagnoseis and prognosis , What treatment
have they being given and why hasn't it worked?

The list of questions is endless,

But the biggest question of all is

why anyone should think the children are
    better off without their mother?

On what evidence have the Court based their decision?. Why are the Jewish Community sitting back and not questioning?

From the outside this looks like a cover up and pure corruption!

People may defend Vienna as being proper
and correct, but in order to earn this respect they need to be answering a few questions.

As the British Board of Deputies publically stated:

THIS IS A MISSCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE, A STAIN ON AUSTRIA.

Let Austria prove otherwise , particularly OOSKAR DEUTSCH, the Head of the Jewish Community in Austria, who buries his head in the sand, hoping tbe problem will disappear, prove otherwise!
A leader should lead by example. What
    example is OSKAR DEUTSCH showing?
    Collusion?

  2. What happened in Rotheram? Child abuse?
How did it happen? Poor communication between public services? In Britain it's being asked how can people have trust in social services councils the people who are elected or employed to protect us In the case of Rotherham, children!

In England all the people involved in the Rotherham scandal will be made to accout.

This has to happen in Austria regarding the Schlesinger case. This case needs a thorough investigation and all those comnected need to be held to account!

  3. Dr Schlesinger deceived the judge in the Vienna court by cheating and "winning" the "competition" she set up so she (but no independent experts) could play a game and decide who was the "better" parent. Why are there no consequences for either the judge for playing games in the family court or for Dr Schlesinger for deception? Is deceiving the judge ALLOWED in Austria?

This is extremely peculiar to someone from another EU country. If a father claimed to be superior at parenting and indeed managed to convince the judge (who can not possibly have children herself) that he was and also that his own family would be supporting him with the child-rearing, yet the dead opposite came about, he would - we hope- be hauled back into court on charges of fraud and presumably convicted. But not in Austria....

Visitors driving into Vienna notice a sign on the outskirts saying, "Wien ist anders" ("Vienna is different."). Yes - it is apparently so different that this father can twist the judge around his little finger and employ 2 almost certainly unqualified women from a poverty-stricken 3rd World country (who are probably, like elsewhere, dirt cheap in Austria) and, one would imagine, never his native German-speaking family (if they had assisted, the children would be speaking normal German and not like babies).

If the judge had been wise, she would have read Brecht's "Caucasian Chalk Circle" and allowed the boys to take the hand of the person they loved most: THEIR MOTHER.

Never would she have allowed herself to be deceived by a man who immediately went out and found women who had no connection at all to his family and who speak neither German nor English adequately - to "mother" his kids.

  4. Someone explained that in Austria the courts always recognize the native Austrians no matter what, and the Austrian people don't want that changed. Most parents who are denied their rights in Austria when the winner is an Austrian and the loser is not an Austrian have no ability to make a ruckus. But this time, it is much different. Tens of thousands of people have read this blog and it just gets stronger and stronger. Eventually, a point will be reached where they may be some change. But of course, the Austrians are counting on the mother to collapse, and then, they won! The children, who can't talk, and maybe won't be normal at all, are no threat in their state if the mother is unable to press her claims for them. By bleeding her financially, by tormenting her with their screaming when the visit is over, the Austrians are counting on her eventually to lose the strength to continue the fight. And then, they will rejoice when the children grow up twisted enough not to be a threat.
I don't think the people who read the blog are going to run out of gas. It is time to raise the pressure. The first thing is to get some money, to relieve the pressure on the mother. But there are other things that an be done, but only if there is money. This story should be made into a book and put on the Internet along with other stories of child abuse and abusing an ex-wife and mother. I am sure there are some nice pictures of the already damaged children. Of course, there should be pictures of all of the people who want the children to continue suffering, pictures with commentary.

  5. You are absolutely right Rabbi Eidelsohn
Ww here in Britain will stand behind Beth so that she doesn't crumble.

It will be those wrong doers in Austria who will be made to stand to account.
Oskar Deutsch will be first if I have my way as leader of the Jewish Community.who buries his head in the sand. Rabbi Biderman who issued a voluntary false statement to the court and of course the Judge. It is our belief that someone or sonebodies are pulling her strings.

The decision was a foregone conclusion.and the pieces were made to fit!

"A report into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham has highlighted examples of victims not being taken seriously by police and the council's child protection service. Although the abuse that took place between 1997 and 2013 may have been identified and investigated on occasions, its seriousness is said to have often been "underplayed" or even "disbelieved"."

Hey! Déjà vu! Beth Alexander's complaint about the domestic violence alleged to have been committed by the Viennese Jewish father of her twins -via her lawyer at the time - was disregarded by the Vienna court, and police reports CONVENIENTLY EXCLUDED FROM THE CUSTODY FILE! Her evidence of his appalling behavior in front of both the children and both grandfathers was THUS PURPOSELY discarded by the judge! What were the reasons for this? That she was a foreign woman and therefore without rights in Austria? That domestic violence is not taken seriously by the very people who should be protecting women and children in that country? Why? Why? Why? Does this often happen in Austria? Or only when the Jewish community is involved?

  7. Richard,
When I mention that the health of the mother is the or a major factor here, I feel it is pikuach nefesh, life or death, for her and her children. It is one thing to hammer a person on the internet. But to hammer an entire society requires a lot of money to be effective.

    ReplyDelete
  8. So what are you suggesting Rabbi Eidensohn a campaign to raise money?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Richard,
There are two aspects in what is needed. One is that the mother in order to survive must be relieved of some pressures, such as the financial card they play to break her. But more than that, if they see that some heavy hitters have stepped up to the plate we will see a new environment. "Money answers for everything." That is a bitter complaint sometimes, but in this case, it offers hope. Of course such a woman needs money at least to pay for the court ordered fine for being a good mother. But beyond that, people with money have influence, and they know better than most of us how to use it. We see people going on the Internet and raising money to destroy their husbands. Why not raise money to save some children and their mother? And why can't people with resources step forward on their own? Of course, this should be organized.

  10. The door may have been slammed on the English mother and her traumatically silenced offspring by the Vienna IKG, but those who are personally acquainted with her know for sure that she will never abandon her struggle for justice and the right of her children to happy lives and to the G-D-given gift of speech, which it may be assumed certain members of the Jewish community in Vienna have permitted to be seized from them.

May those men and women responsible for these heinous crimes be tormented by their consciences until such time as they confess and make amends - for the sake of Sammy, Benji and Beth.

  11. Rabbi Eidensohn I do agree that the Austrians are doing everything to break Beth both emotionally and financially. What you suggest needs considering and more discussion, , because unlike the Austrians you in Israel and we in England are humanitarian and I repeat we will support Beth until justice is done for her and her sons!

You may have seen the petition started,: I thin, in France to the Head of the European Parliament asking for justice for children taken away in Austria and Germany from foreign nationals.
What is happening to Beth is apparently rife in those countries. Unfortunately, it will make it very difficult for their young people to marry anyone from outside their communities, which will present a very big problem for their future. The
Jewish Community in Vienna headed by Oskar Deutsch needs to think very carefully about the damage that he
he is allowing to be done in Vienna because of his short sightedness.

  12. There's a petition circulating called 'No more children held hostages in Germany and Austria' which readers sympathetic to Beth's and many others' causes in two of the German-speaking countries might like to add their signature to:

  13. This is the blog that I saw today Noah which is translated into many languages. Even if the Austrians do everything in their
power to get rid of Beth physically they must realise, as Rabbi Eidensoh mentioned
on one of his comments below, books will
be written and films made. Young people in Vienna will have difficulty in marrying
outside of Austia, because outsiders will be
too afraid in case theit marriage fails.

Time for correction in Vienna not only for
the sake of two little boys who are being denied proper contact with their mother for no good reason and for Beth who is being
made to pay high maintenance and is charged every time she shes them, Vienna must see they are slowly but surely ruining their own
reputation because they are unable to show humanity to two little boys and their mother.

  14. Richard,
If as you say there are people in Britain, France, America and Israel who want to help Beth, I am surprised. I was not aware that so many people are interested in this in a serious way. My brother knows the facts here probably better than most people. If he is in favor of making an organization that would essentially use his blog to impart information and solicitation, we can get to work. I propose the following steps:
One, there should be a name for the group. Two, there would have to be strong input on the blog about more and more people joining and their attitudes Three, we must get important people respected by Austrians and governments to get involved, such as those senior politicians in England who are recorded backing Beth. And we have to have a tax free number and a system of banking and distributing the money. We probably should have a website that would collect various opinions from this blog and make it available immediately to everyone all of the time. But the main focus has to be this blog with its large audience.

  15. When people work together for the good of others, especially when innocent little children and their loving capable mother is concerned, a lot can be achieved.

As we are seeing in Vienna the leaders are burying their heads in the sand, and/or there is corruption in the process. Why else would a Jewish community behave in this way?

Therefore powers from around the world must be involved, as this behaviour cannot and will not be tolerated.

    More discussion is definitely needed!
