I assume you found this from my recent article on Transformative Mediation and how it can be used in the chareidi draft issue in E"Y today? http://www.cross-currents.com/archives/2014/03/25/a-new-dialogue-in-eretz-yisroel-the-transformative-model/comment-page-1/
The key idea is "transformative", which is explained as being distinct from mere problem solving, as a kind of knot to undo. Rather, when conflicts between people become intractable, there's a need to transform something within their THINKING and FEELING about the problem and about the people holding different positions.
It's bringing delicate aspects of therapy into negotiations.
Hence if someone could transformatively mediate between Meir and Lonna Kin... they'd come of out that mess with not just a Get, money and a new angle on the custody, but new attitudes about it all.
Great, glad it's getting out there. Very effective in family law situations. There are centers that specialize in this form of mediation who I'm sure the parties could turn to.
