Windsor Star A Quebec Court judge has ordered the removal of 14 children aged two
months to 16 years from the ultra-orthodox sect Lev Tahor, to be placed
in foster homes.
Judge Pierre Hamel issued the ruling Wednesday night, ordering the
children be removed from the community and placed in foster homes
immediately, for at least 30 days.
The ruling comes after about 200 members of the sect fled to Chatham Nov. 18 to avoid a youth court hearing.
Hamel ordered members of the Lev Tahor community to refrain from
contacting the children in any way, except for their parents, whose
contact will be supervised by youth protection officials.
Among the children ordered removed are a 16-year-old girl and her two-month-old baby.[...]
Sadly the Quebec child protection system has troubles cooperating with other provincial systems. That means the Ontario CAS will be starting from scratch. Until someone notices child abuse occuring or has a valid reason to suspect it nothing will be done to protect the children. What's more, the government of Ontario is so politically correct it will do nothing to intervene because of fears of being called "culturally insensitive". So as long as these nutjobs keep a low profile and don't offend anyone they will be left alone.
ReplyDeleteThese innocent children and their innocent parents have done nothing wrong other than dress weird and make secular Jews and some religious Jews uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the truth? What's going on there?
ReplyDeleteIf it's because they're homeschooling, this can only be a bad development.
The child protection is concerned they're being abused because they speak Yiddish instead of French or English. Another concern the agency has is whether they're being abused based on their "hygiene".
DeleteYeah. Go figure. I guess saying they seem odd doesn't let them invade families lives.
This Chasidic cult “ Lev Tahor” has nothing to do with Judaism.
ReplyDeleteThis so called “rabbi” Solomon Arez Hell-branz and son Nuchman may not even be Jewish. They are cult-leaders a fraud and always has been.
Every Jewish organization on earth has been rebuking them even in public, as no different than the David Koresh cult in Waco, or the Jonestown cult. We should be keeping a spotlight on this fraudster as much as possible and call this what it is: A CULT. Hoocked up with child abuse in the worst way possible.
This cult “leader” Solomon Arez and son Nuchman are VERY dangerous man who uses mind-control techniques to pray on the weak minded. Nuchman the son can not be trusted, he is a big lier with out a drop truth.
Believe it or not, it is VERY easy to start a cult if you want to. All it takes is a few lost souls willing to have a boatload of children for you. ”
No Orthodox group has been condemning them. The only ones condemning them are those embarrassed that Jews dress like they do. They're normal people who dress funny. All the other allegations are hogwash.
DeleteNo one, not even the hasidic groups to the right of Satmar thinks Helbrans is OK. He has been rejected roundly as off his rocker and dangerious in his control of his cult members. Other charges include marrying off girls at 14, failure to provide even elementary education, physical neglect, health neglect, unsanitary living conditions, removing children from their parents for years at a time, etc.
DeleteHere we go again...
ReplyDeleteAnyone slower than you on the highway is a slowpoke, anyone faster is a madman.
I personally think men that wear fur hats and tall leather boots in the summer, are part of a more dangerous cult. We have a popular cult that has secret cruel rules against woman. Another one, as a matter of policy, tie their ears like dried apricots...
The secular world is all cult too...
With children having children, killing fetuses at random, immoral relations, etc....
The point...
Until YOU KNOW they are HARMING members, even if they dress much different than you, budd-out!!!
Or do good thorough research!!
Any of the geniuses and experts on child abuse in this comment section want to address why a 16 year old member of this ("cult" ? / "religious group" ? ) has a 2 month old child?
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing inherently wrong with a 16 year old getting married. In New York it is legal for someone as young as 14 to get married. At 16 in New York all that is needed to marry is parental consent.
DeleteAnd to whom is she married?
