New Leadership at Yated

JPost   Recent upheavals at the influential haredi newspaper Yated Ne’eman, official mouthpiece of the Degel Hatorah faction of the ultra-Orthodox community, appear to have been consolidated with new management taking control of the paper.

Although the old management team took legal steps to prevent their ouster, haredi public opinion and the rabbinic leadership seems to be shoring up the new administration.

Ten days ago, the newspaper’s outgoing director Rabbi Yaakov Labin and incoming director Shimon Glick filed mutual complaints in the Ramat Gan police station, accusing each other of assault during an incident at Yated Ne’eman’s offices on Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak.

The details of the confrontation are disputed, but center around the fight for control of the newspaper.

  1. So it's OK to cause a Chilul Hashem by mosering your rival to the police apparently without a heter from a posek.
What a contrast to the hefkerus of the molested children due to the limitations our selfish frumkeit places on protecting them.

  2. The article is a lie. There is no disagreement between R. Shteinman and R. Auerbach whatsoever.

  3. Legacy of the founders of yated?

Now with Tammuz, 3 weeks, Beit Hamikdash, yet there is the same old internecine violence

Where there is machloikes, there is Eidensohn. Why?
Why should anyone believe Eidensohn when he says that R' Shtren'buch supports him when all this seems to be is a core Loshon Horo site? Why?
Why should Eidensohn be allowed to criticize events that are or were backed by most poskim and Gedolim here and in the diaspora? Why?
Why should a single author be considered "Daas Torah"? Why?

    1. What's your problem. Somebody who has the guts to speak the truth bothers you. Have you ever protested the tremendous chillul Hashem which the author of the blog is able and willing to do? Does it bother you when Rabonim run to secular courts or give out psakim which are against Halacha ? Does child abuse mean anything to you? If you don't like his blog, go somewhere else.

Nobody said anything about abuse (whatever or however it is interpreted).
Nobody said anything about rumors which are against halacha.
Psakim which you are privy to or you don't know the whole side of the story (even though you may "know" that you know the whole story) do not establish them as "against Halacha" even if Eidensohn says so. There are many facets to Halacha (Ailu V'ailu...).
And we love this blog. It proves our point how ignorant bloggers are. Ignorant to another view in Halacha. Ignorant to facts which are unknown to the bloggers host. Ignorant to Yehadus. Ignorant to Mussar. Ignorant to the world outside his 'daled amos'. Ignorant to society. Ignorant to the world as a whole.
