Threat of violence keeps police out of Jerusalem Haredi neighborhood

Haaretz

Police are reluctant to enter the ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem neighborhood of Mea She'arim because of residents' violence, a police spokesman said during a recent court hearing over the remand of a neighborhood resident.

A police official said in court Thursday that the reason the police had not arrested a wanted man for more than a month, despite knowing where in Mea She'arim he was, was that every time they go into the neighborhood police property is damaged and they do not want unnecessary confrontations. 1. You see, these haredim learned the lesson that the Arabs taught them. The Arabs showed that with enough fight, they can break the will of police and keep them out of where they don't want the police going (into their villages and neighborhoods). Because the Israelis have no stomach for the violence. Meah Shearim learned from our enemies.

The settlers NEED to learn this message or else the horse riding cops with batons will come again to trample them and kick them out of their homes. The key difference, the cause of self-defense by the settlers is just, while the no-go-zones of the arabs and meah shearim are not. But, just or not, they have shown the way! Time to learn practical knowledge and prevent the destruction of Israel.

Can't wait to see what the justice system in Eretz Yisroel would look like when the Haredim take over running it before the Mashiach comes. How would they treat everyone else who is not like them? How would they treat each other? How different would life be in Eretz Yisoel under a strict Haredi regime than life is in Iran under the Ayatolas or Afghanistan under the Taliban?

  4. This pogrom occurred in Mea Shearim, where Gur Chassidim attacked a woman and children, who were affiliated with NK.
Although I am an ardent zionist, there is no justification in the Torah to attack a married women and her children, regardless of who her husband is.

  5. Chareidim are quite imitative.
When it comes to inventing religious strictures and claiming they're normative Jewish law they're just like the Taliban.
When it comes to violence, they're just like the Arabs.
Why can't they find a positive, well-behaved group of people to imitate?

  7. Dont blame the Arabs, the Zionists, the police or "reform".
The same violence is going on in Skver, in New York.
