Shulchan Aruch was written with divine inspiration & guidance

from Daas Torah - translation copyrighted

Kitzur Takfo Kohen (Choshen Mishpat 25:124): … When a law is mentioned in the Shulchan Aruch in which both Rav Yosef Karo and the Rema omit the dissenting minority view – I have a tradition and I have seen this done by expert judges and I myself do it  - that a claim of “kim li” [utilizing a minority view to defend against monetary loss] is not accepted. It is well established and accepted by the sages over the generations to observe and do precisely what it says in the terse language of the Shulchan Aruch and the Rema. There is no doubt in my mind that it was all written from G﷓d Who guided their hands. This can be seen from the many questions of the Achronim on the Shulchan Aruch and the resulting sharp and brilliant answers. And thus within its sweet and terse language are many laws. There is absolutely no question that [Rav Yosef Karo Aruch and Rema] did not consciously write it that way. Because how would it be possible that they be conscious of every detail of their writing - given the awesome task required of them in this work for heaven. Who is capable of writing a book on the entire Torah based on the Rishonim and Achronim and not be overwhelmed by producing this work for heaven. It is obvious that it was only accomplished because they were infused with the spirit of G﷓d so that their language would precisely express the halacha – even though they had no awareness of this when they wrote it. That which G﷓d desired was successfully done through them. Therefore  - G﷓d forbid to say “kim li” against the halachic decisions of the Shulchan Aruch and Rema…

  2. Perhaps it was written with higher level of Nevua than say Yirmiahu or Yechezkel. (sarcasm)>

  3. The rumors are that Satmar askan Isaac Abraham owns VIN and his eidim runs it

    http://twitpic.com/3idy37/full

Shimon Weiser from Williamsburg is allegedly the behind the ban. He allegedly works for the Zalmi Leib faction of Satmar.

According to a source, Weiser is supposedly “obsessed with tznius. He's always busy with bans etc.”

Weiser’s brother is Moshe Weiser, an NYPD Liason, and former Williamsburg Shomrim member. He was kicked out of Shomrim for various unstated reasons.

Weiser also has another brother, Benjamin Weiser, the owner of Fidelity, the credit card processing company. Fidelity has advertised on VIN for years.

Shimon Weiser is on the Community Board and has a goverment job at UJO. Why should taxpayers put up with this?

  4. It used to be the case that if someone claims to have Nevuah, he would be rigorously tested, and if he failed to tell the future, or showed another defect, he was totally rejected. So now we have a phenomenon of "back door" prophecy, where others simly claim that Rabbi x, y, or z are Neviim, and we cannot question or doubt such claim. R' Alfred Cohen's article on Daas Torah actually touches on this point. He mentions in Bava Batra (correct me if I am wrong) it says that Nevua was taken from the prophets and given to the Sages. Even the proponents of Daas Torah who mention this, quickly retreat and say that Daas Torah is not actual Nevua, but akin to it.

  8. I'm waiting for r' daas torah to stand up for the kovod of his rebbe, and take a strong stand on this torah blog, about vin, which allowed comments which were mevatel r' moshe sternbuch shlitah,k'afra d'ara in the most vicious fashion.Besides the rav elashiv bashing in the comments which they allow on a non stop basis.Besides plenty others.I'm not even going into the nivul peh they allow, which is only getting worse.
