He was sentenced for his first conviction to a minimum of 10 2/3 years to a max of 32. This means that the parole board will review the case after he finishes serving the 10 2/3. This was the maximum sentence for the eight counts he was convicted on. There are two other cases pending.
The judge stated specifically that she is giving the max sentence because we must send the message that sexual abuse will not be tolerated. I commend her.
Also of note, in reading the sentence, the judge also revealed that over the course of interrogation, Lebovitz admitted to the police that he himself had been sexually abused as a child.
I do not think he is sentenced yet.
