Palestinian Authority - Temple Denial propaganda

(IsraelNN.com) The Palestinian Authority, run by PLO Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas, is again making efforts to popularize Muslim denial of the Jewish connection to Jerusalem, especially to the site of the two Jewish Temples. The PA claims fly in the face of the archaeological evidence, as well as the history of Jerusalem as endorsed by the most authoritative Muslim sources.

According to Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook of the Palestinian Media Watch organization, Fatah-controlled television broadcasts have been promoting a music video that "denies any historical connection between the Jewish people and Jerusalem." Building on the denial of Jewish rights in Jerusalem and the claim that the Temple Mount is "ours," meaning it is Muslim, PMW explains, that "the lyrics repeat the Palestinian fabrication that Israel is planning to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and therefore it needs protection."[...]

  1. I would like to see that video in the original Arabic.

Whenever I receive one of these emails about "Arab" anti semitism, I watch the video in the original Arabic without the CAMERA or AIPAC translation.

I quite often find that the MEMRI/AIPAC etc translations are completely out of context or incorrect(grammatically and vocab) altogether.

For example, in one "anti semitic" video, a little girl talking about Mohammed "killing Jews". The story if from the Hadith written 1200 years ago!!

Imagine if our own Midrash stories were taken in the same context. We teach OUR children about murdering Persians (Purim), slaughtered Egyptians (Pesach) and
    (As)Syrians (Hanukkah)!!

Another email, I recently received from a Rabbi at the local day school said "the Quran instructs "wife beating" and calls women cows".

The word for "mate" (as-wajan; spouse, wife) was absurdly translated as "cow" (baqqara)in Quran 30:21.

Christians also use Quran 4:34 as an example of Islam's sanction of abuse to women. The word, Da-raba (idribuhunne) is mistranslated as "beating" (ie wife) while the correct translation of this word is "to send away" (a wife who has committed adultery). This mistranslation comes from an Arabic-English dictionary that was popular several years ago that defined daraba "to travel" as "beat it", "strike out" which are colloquialism in English for "traveling" or "leaving".

Islamic law mirrors Jewish law in that a wife who is "disloyal" or "has extramarital affairs" (nushuz, in Arabic, a Sotah) is banished or "sent out" from her husband's bed.
