But the rabid leftists like Netanyahu are distorting the picture of what is really happening here. NO ONE is arguing that rabbis are immune to the law (except maybe the type of people who try to protect child molesters). The argument is that endorsing a book that gives over halacha and Torah discussion is NOT BREAKING ANY LAW.<br /><br />The "rule of law gang" plays the straw-man because they want to turn the public against the religion and against the rabbis. Ahh the religious Jews, they are trying to exempt themselves from our laws! But it's not so. And the fact is, the majority of Israelis do respect rabbis.
