Iran doesn’t seem to be susceptible to the art of the deal.
President Donald Trump is desperate to sell the story that the Islamic Republic is ready to end the war.
But there’s no public sign yet from Tehran that it’s poised to help him walk back a crisis that he triggered by obliterating his own previous diplomatic effort nearly four weeks ago.
You know what? D'ya know what...? I have a sense the Iranian regime is reeling from the war a LOT more than it's letting on.
ReplyDeleteThey've lost 140 ships -- their whole navy, which was central to projecting power in the region.
And then their leaders being picked off like a kid with a BB gun shooting at tin cans. No wonder that their five conditions for a ceasefire include a provision for an end to assassinations.
Go through my comments on this blog and I'm all over the map. But right now I'm thinking there won't be any ceasefiring soon. I'm thinking Donald Trump is going to go for it and land troops on Iranian soil.
